YEAR 1 OF DENTAL SCHOOL - CHECKED
So I don't remember mentioning in this blog that I got enrolled into the dental school in the University of Adelaide hehe. I was scrolling through my previous post and I bumped into the one on the medicine interview at YLLSOM (how time flies!)
Cannot believe I'm already a year done with dental school. I got my offer on the 6th of january 2015 (damn). But I have got to admit that 2015 was the year that literally changed my life for the better. Pharmacy to me was a dead end; I could not see any prospects of graduating with a pharmacy degree, so I was pretty glad I took that leap of faith (and courage) to do what I am doing now
Year 1 of dental school was awesome. Although semester 1 was really boring - learning about tooth morphology, not really using the equipments in the simulation clinic - but still, fun. Semester 2 we got to do fissure sealants, rubber dams, prophylaxis and what not. Clinic was awfully fun as well; we got to do stuff like periodontal probing, fluoride application and OHI, base and all charting. Just hoping in year2 we'll get to learn more stuff that is dental related hehe.
Although a year has gone by like that, I still cannot believe that I am doing what I love - dentistry. You have no idea how much I've dreamt of leaving pharmacy to pursue what I like. I feel so privileged and blessed at the same time; no words can express my gratitude. I used to be so envious of the dental (and medical) students at NUS because they get to do what I have always wanted to do since I was a kid.

INVISALIGN PROGRESS
Woaaaah I'm already on the 10th out of 24th set of my Invisalign aligners. How fast time flies! And I have been put on the accelerated program! Hehehe meaning that I only have to wear one aligner for 10 days instead of 14! Imagine how much time that would save!
EUROPE
Life has been pretty stable so far. Just came back from a whopping 3 weeks in Europe (travelling from London to Paris to Barcelona to Madrid and back to London) Can't deny how much fun (and stress) I've had in Europe. Putting that all behind, school has once again started :(

I honestly cannot picture myself practicing as a Pharmacist. Year 1 was awesome for me because I really enjoyed studying for Anatomy and Physiology. Not really sure if I can hang on to this course anymore. Although I've applied for Medicine in University of Adelaide, and have taken the PQA, I'm not even certain I would study there if I got accepted (albeit it'll be a dream come true)

Ooooooh, and I think the most awesome thing I've done this year is to get Invisalign. I'm quite surprised that even for my teeth condition (my teeth are pretty straight) I still require 24 aligners (which will take about 42 weeks)! But yeah, can't wait to get perfect and white teeth.
